Men's Mental Health

Men often carry stress, relationship strain, and difficult behaviours privately, and reaching out can feel harder than it should.

At Healthcase Psychologists, our clinical psychologists provide a confidential and non-judgmental space to work through the pressures many men face, whether in person at our Camberwell practice or remotely via telehealth.

Support is tailored to each individual. Whatever you are dealing with, seeking help early may make a meaningful difference.

Common concerns we work with

  • Work related stress - support for burnout, workplace pressure, and the impact of work on your health, relationships, and sense of self.

  • Relationship issues - a space to understand recurring patterns, improve communication, and navigate conflict or disconnection.

  • Infidelity and cheating - support for individuals navigating the impact of infidelity, whether working through the aftermath or understanding the behaviours behind it.

  • Life stage transitions - support through significant change such as career shifts, fatherhood, separation, or entering a new phase of life.

  • Anxiety and mood - support for managing worry, low mood, and the everyday effects these can have on work, relationships, and wellbeing.

Addictive and compulsive behaviours

Compulsive behaviours can develop gradually and often feel difficult to control. Our psychologists provide structured, confidential support designed to help you understand these patterns and develop strategies to consider for managing them.

Process behaviours

  • Pornography use

  • Compulsive sexual behaviour

  • Patterns involving multiple partners

  • Gambling

Substance behaviours

  • Alcohol dependence

  • Cannabis dependence

  • Stimulant dependence

Where substance dependence is significant, psychological support may work alongside medical or specialist care. Our team can help you understand the right pathway for your circumstances.

Working with us

Where appropriate, therapy may attract a Medicare rebate under a Mental Health Care Plan from your GP. We can help you understand your options and connect you with a psychologist suited to your needs.
